St. Maarten -With all the excitement and the hype surrounding the outcome of the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant fading by the second, its time to focus on the highly anticipated crowning of the Miss West Indies that will take place on Valentine’s Day in the Carnival Village in Galisbay.

A total of 21 beautiful ladies will be vying for the title and the spoils that goes with it, the contestants will be representing the Bahamas, Colombia, Dominica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Belize, Venezuela, St Martin, Haiti, Mexico, Martinique, St Luicia, Suriname, Jamaica, Tortola, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, St Croix and Panama.

This will be the first time in years since a pageant of this caliber has not been held on the French side of the island as part of the annual Carnival festivities.
