St. Maarten – Halloween is approaching and students have taken once more to throwing eggs at each other, mostly after school hours, the police report. “This irresponsible and dangerous act takes place every year around Halloween,” the police states. It warns parents that they will be held liable for all damages their egg-throwing offspring causes.
The police state that it has received numerous calls about the egg-throwing students. “The police are making an appeal to all parents to have a serious talk with their kids about this topic. The throwing of eggs can be very dangerous if it hits someone in the eyes. It can also cause serious damage to property and form a threat to one’s health,” the police warn.
