St. Maarten – When it comes to maintaining their cultural heritage, St. Lucians are among the many that make it their duty to observe those traditions. For the fifth straight year the parking lot at the Inspections Office was the center of attention for the annual ‘Jounen Kweyol’ festival.

Apart from the opportunity to socialize in a controlled environment, it was the perfect place for St. Lucians living on the island to be entertained with traditional music and get a taste of the specially prepared dishes like cow tongue, rabbit stew, Boyon and Fig & Bocks.
