Methodist Agogic Center wins RBC School Baseball Tournament

St. Maarten Methodist Agogic Center wins for the second years in a row the 14th edition of the RBC School Baseball Tournament, which is hosted by the St. Maarten Little League Association.

The tournament started last year and counted on the participation of 9 elementary school teams competing against each other. The tournament ended on February 9 at the Little League Stadium.

Dr. Martin Luther King School defeated Sister Marie Laurence School with 5-2 and was placed 3rd and 4th respectively. Methodist Agogic Center defeated Hillside Christian School 5-0 to win the championship, leaving Hillside Christian School as the sub-champions of the tournament.

Area Vice President Personal Banking of RBC Royal Bank, Hanna Lieuw – Hie Gonesh and the Minister of Sports Silveria Jacobs were present to congratulate the school teams and to present the awards.

“One of our areas of focus at RBC is youth development and therefore we are extremely proud of being the main sponsor of the Little League for 12 years. It is great to see how many youngsters are actively involved in this sport that teaches them discipline, team work and keeps them on the right path,” Lieuw – Hie Gonesh said.

Each participant including their coaches received a commemorative medal and the champion, sub-champion, 3rd and 4th places received trophies.

    Hanna Lieuw Hie Gonesh should not talk about right path.
    Why is she f****g with Peter Ng a Tham (Area vice president RBC Suriname). They slept together on 16th January 2014 at Hyatt hotel Trinidad during there business trip.
