CUL-DE-SAC—Charnella Margarita won 5000 fun miles at the drawing of the raffle as Fun Miles celebrated its fifth anniversary at the Emilio Wilson Park on Saturday evening. The company attracted several partners and expects to double their number during the next five years said account manager Agnetha Huijking.
“For the future of Fun Miles we are hoping to be established on the French Side of the island as well,” she said. Fun Miles benefits both businesses and customers with its loyalty program. Customers receive points with each purchase at a Fun Miles supported business and they are able to redeem these points at the business, for free groceries, free gas or air travel.
Businesses have the exclusivity of Fun Miles which gives them an edge over their competitors because most consumers will prefer to shop at a Fun Miles representative to earn points. “We have now 15 businesses on St. Maarten and are represented as well on Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba. Fun Miles was established about 13 years ago in Curacao,” she said.
In Bonaire Fun Miles now exist for 11years and in Aruba for 6 years. Customers living in the former Netherlands Antilles could use their Fun Miles cards to purchase items at any location that represents Fun Miles.
